Tonight for tea I made a shepherd’s pie in the slow cooker! I used lamb mince but you could use beef if you prefer…but that would change it from being a shepherd’s pie to a cottage pie :) You could even use a meat substitute like Quorn…it would be just as delicious! Everything I used will also be listed below, -Cheryl x ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ What I used (3.5 Litre Crockpot) 500g (18 oz) Lamb mince 1 Medium onion - finely diced 400ml (14 oz) Vegetable or lamb stock 2 Medium carrots - diced 1/2 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 Teaspoon dried mint - optional but works well if you’re using the lamb mince :) 150g (5 oz) Frozen peas 1 Tablespoon cornflour mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water - to thicken Salt & pepper to taste 900g (32 oz) Mashed potato A handful of grated cheese - optional ***** Recommended - pop your shepherd’s pie into the oven to crisp the top up (if your slow cooker pot is safe to use in the oven! They aren’t all oven safe) ****** ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ CONTACT ME: PO Box - Write to me here: What's For Tea?
