In this video we cover MonitorControl, a handy utility for Macs that lets you control any display's brightness using the regular brightness keys on Mac keyboards. In order to work, your display should support DDC. Most modern monitors do. This is a crazy setup - I put four additional monitors up to test different displays with this utility. Some are older office displays and don't work, but most should be fine. Download: https://github.com/the0neyouseek/MonitorControl/releases *Compatibility List* This list is always growing! @youarehere17163 years ago Let me know if you figure out how to control an Apple Pro Display XDR connected via Thunderbolt 3 to an iMac Mini M1. I have a logitech MX Keys keyboard and the brightness keys don't work and the 3rd party brightness menulet (may be a fork of the code you're using) doesn't see the monitor. Not sure if the problem is with the Logitech keyboard or the way I have the display connected. ...

@BSingh-on4qr4 years ago Holy fucking SHIT!!!!! I've wanted to do this since buying my LG27UD68-W in 2017, but based on all my Googling; It was found to be impossible over Displayport. But thankfully this works!!! I'm amazed; I thought this would only be available on the LG Ultrafine Monitors and the ones you mentioned in the description, but you can add LG 27UD68 to the list of ones that work.
I'm not even using a real Mac; I'm using a hackintosh but this works brilliantly. Thanks so much; You've saved so much time and energy from having to use the physical toggle; Instantly subscribed when it worked.
