How to make Maharashtrian Rashi Bhat, Rashi Bhat Recipe Ingredients: Chana daal (boiled) Turmeric powder Red chilli powder Ginger Garlic Cilantro Onion Dry coconut flakes Oil salt Maharashtrian Goda Masala /Garam Masala Procedure: 1. First boil the Chana daal with 3 times water. Strain boiled daal and collect the water. (Keep daal for Puran Poli). 2. Roast Coconut flakes and onion slices until brown. 3. Make a paste of roasted onion, coconut, ginger, garlic. 4. In a heated pan, add oil and add the paste you made by grinding above mentioned ingredients. Cook the mixture for about 1-2 mins. 5. Add dry masalas (turmeric powder, red chilli powder and Goda masala powder, salt). 6. Give a quick stir and add the chana daal water. Let it boil on medium flame. 7. Garnish with fresh cilantro. 8. Serve it with rice and Puran Poli.
