Kala Vatana sambar is a famous recipe made in Maharashtra. You can have this with Amboli, Paav, Rice etc.
We made this Black Peas Curry specially on Gokulashtami Occasion and Ganesh Chaturthi
Soak the peas for 7-8 yrs hour in water.
Pressure cook the Black Peas 5-6 wisely.
Drained the water and keep aside
Half Black Peas / Kala Vatana in Mixer Grind
Keep Half Kala Vatana aside
Heat pan once pan is hot add Oil
Add tomato and Onion Purry sauté for sometime
Then add Garam Masal Powder sauté then add Malvani Masala Powder
Add the Kala Vatana paste then add Malvani Vatan and 4 Cup water
Bring it to the boil
Add Salt for taste
Ingredients
250 gram Black vatana
Malvani Masala 1 ½ spoon
Garam Masala 1 ½ spoon
2 tomato and onion purry
Grated Coconut Onion Ginger Garlic Vatap
Oil
4 Cup Water
Salt for Taste
