@xianyuliu84703 years ago It works! It only took 30 seconds to program the key. But the BMW dealer told me to schedule an appointment of 3-4 hours. Not sure what they tried to do. 6

I can’t wait to tell my husband… He owns an auto body shop, works on Mercedes BMW Porsches… Told me I had to go to the BMW dealer to get my new key programmed (he lost my spare key😮). The dealership said it would be $200 minimum to program the key. Thank you very much for making this video! ❤😊 ... 1

@juandontworryaboutit41504 years ago Bmw 328i 2010-- What if my key doesnt unlock/lock? Yet i can start car and central lock module works fine i can unlock/lock from inside.. checked fuses and they are fine, battery is ok..
On my other BMW 2009 328i my key is running low on battery and it works fine and it also shows me that (key battery) is low and car starts aswell..
I just wanna know whats wrong with my first key that it doesnt lock/unlock? Do i need to program it ? Thanks ...

I have a 2012 F11 were it says "low battery" and when I put in a new battery it takes about 2-3 month and it says "low battery" again.
I checked it and it's 3.6V on both the old and new battery and it's the same with both fobs and I can unlock the car from 20 yards.
I still use them but some times it says "no key" and I can't start unless I lock and unlock a couple of times and it has been like this for 5 years.
Any idea? ...

Will this key offer all of the comfort access features? I believe a second key fob is listed in the cars computer (the fob I don't have). How do I delete that key fob out of the computer system so that the key fob I purchase can take it's place so that I have 2 main keys with full features capability? My understanding is that up to four fobs can be programmed in but only two can have all of the access features. ...

@ttinney32 years ago I got the car started but the keyless entry isn't working. Can you tell me how to get the unlock and lock buttons to work on my spare fob? It wasn't working so I replaced the battery, still not working so stumbled on your video and poof, it starts the car. I can get into my 2017 X3 by using the hidden key on the fob and now I can start it but would be nice to have the remote buttons work too. Thanks a million for your help! Joy ...

This method works for any unlocked keyfob or the keyfob has to be pre-programmed and this is the last step?

@philippeetienne166last year Thank you straight forward..... however I have an 2022 E92 with comfort....How do I get that to work. I have both FOBs that came with the car. 1st FOB everthing works as it should..... but not the second FOB. Everything works on the spare FOB..... EXCEPT That I CANNOT start the car without inserting the Fob. Nor comfort open close the door.. I have replaced the battery in the FOB but no success. Any ideas that may point me in the right direction?

I have to lock the passenger door manually and the driver door has to be locked and opened with the actual metal part of the key from the remote???
