“Vertical Studio : September 2022” Topic : Are "Public Toilets" a functional failure? Vertical studio is a 4-day annual workshop crafted in an office like set up for students. The groups are divided vertically with students from each year working together. This encourages discussions and exchange of thought process between the students. Through this studio we attempt to find reasonable solutions for the issues of Nashik city through various design interventions. Vertical studio 2022 focuses on the failing functionality of public toilets in urban context. Our aim is to identify barriers and conflicts which refrain us from using public toilets, and come up with a resilient, gender inclusive, easy to maintain urban prototype.
