@AndyBilham3 years agoJo, I just love your accent! I know this is 9 months late, but please say "sort out some warm uniform" in a video just for me!! That kayaker though - when he slowly slid out of shot to the right, only to reappear a couple of seconds later, still paddling furiously but still going nowhere - priceless! ...1

@janeingram73314 years agoPersonally, I don't find people being nice to each other during this pandemic, so it's so nice to see two lovely people smiling and just enjoying the day and each other. @maobfh4 years agoDo you have a flag?!? See Eddie Hazard. It's 0500 early Monday morning, here. Husband woke me up about 0330 needing a bath. Just polished him up and put him back in bed and there you are, singing the same song he was singing. A 50 year old song, 3000+ miles away. What are the odds. I chuckled and he asked why. When I told him, he became excessively excited. "It's Hot Time, Summer In The City" ! I had to laugh. I told him you two were in your canoe, paddling up a river. Well, that's alright then ". Kind of surreal. Or maybe overly sleep deprived. It really was odd as it was absolutely coincidental and halfway around the world. Not true, only about a third. 8 hours and 12 would be halfway. This was a sweet and fantastically cinematic video. Who is the artist who filmed and edited this one? Brilliant! ...5

@richardthomson2034 years agoAs dusk descends over the water, the Swallows paddle their way back home with not an Amazon in sight. @cylwik-family-movies4 years agoGorgeous post, romantic light for you evening dinner on the island. Bought a bit of Yukon to Notts. And again making that butternut squash risotto, your really know what you’re doing, with sage and arborio rice (one of my absolute fave meals. Hope that gets on Holly’s menu. @stevemusgrave20004 years ago9:25pm. Vic and Jo have conquered "Holly island". Old kayaker fights the current. Swans switch on their outboards. Burgers sizzling, cheese amelting. (all said in a certain northern accent!!) If only the real Big brother was anything like..... What a joy to watch. Yin and Yang. So much effort put in the boat build and the videos, so totally worth it. That is why, without doubt, your enterprise is SOOOOOOOO going to work out. ...1

@jillipepper53534 years agoGreat haircut, looks lovely. I keep thinking it would be fun if the cafe boat had a sound like an ice cream truck so people could hear you coming and all run to the boat to get their coffee. Lol He/she/it is looking amazing. The brownies looked good I could almost smell the chocolate but I’m baking bread so it’s a bit strange. I’ve helped work on my dads 31 foot wide beam racing sail boat and it’s a lot of work, exhausting, good you got to have a break . I saw a video of another coffee shop boat that started just before the lockdown and then they had to stop. The lady who runs it said there was a lot of business though so that’s a good sign for when you can start up. 🙋🏼 ...

@tuftywhite96284 years agoLoving the videos and the project. I'd like to be the pedant that points out that actually, where you are is in Derbyshire. The Trent is the border between Derbyshire and Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire comes in just between Long Eaton and Tipton, going towards Nottingham, just before Attenborough. The River Soar is the dividing line between Notts and Leics. Now I've pointed all of that out, I feel dirty and bad. Look forward to the next video. Looking at the other comments, I'm not the only one. 😀 ...1

@ianbrawn97644 years agoEnjoyed video as usual . Do not be concerned about viability of business . We have walked canals for years and it is always good to find somewhere for a coffee and if we are lucky a home made cake. Big profit in cakes too, altho I think you need food hygiene approval . One place we went to regularly was near kingswood junction and the lady there said cyclists in particular like cakes! Kids like icecream and gingerbread men if our grandchildren are anything to go by. You two will be perfect as hosts so do not worry about that. It is getting closer to opening, and we would hope to find ourselves up your way in due course altho we are in portchester in hampshire so it's a fair way. Keep at it cheers ...1
