I thought there was no better cake for him than a 3d bible book cake and set to work thinking of ideas for his cake. I had originally thought of creating a figure of him to put on the cake as well but when I added the fondant pen and the little note I didnt think it needed anything else. Sometimes I can tend to go overboard and Im so glad I let the cake do the talking this time and didnt create a fondant figure for him. My baby loves baking and cooking with his mama and I always let him 'help' when I can. As this bible book cake was for a friend I let him join in on the baking part, I could'nt stop laughing watching the footage back he is so funny! I was so happy with how this cake turned out and I think I am getting the hang of creating these videos (it only took 24 videos for me to get there!) but I feel I am starting to relax a bit and come across more as myself which I am so happy about, Im also trying out different angles when I am recording, I want you guys to feel like you are right there with me! As they say practice makes perfect, I guess Ill just have to make a ton of videos for you all haha. Im am thinking of something Easter related for next weeks cake decorating video so keep you eye out for that! This cake tutorial will show you how to make a bible 3d book cake, with easter just around the corner you could easliy turn this into an easter bible cake! I hope you enjoy... I used a madiera sponge cake recipe to create this bible cake. I made vanilla frosting and jam for the filling and covered the cake with white fondant icing. I used edible dusts in the shades brown, chocolate & black for shadowing the cake board and I used a little wood effect rolling pin to create the wood cake board.
