Peshawari Charsi Mutton Karahi Recipe with/without Instant Pot by Quick Food Official - Best Mutton Karhai - #shorts - Instant Pot Recipes
Try Quick Food Official’s Special Charsi Karahi it’s gonna be a big hit in your dawat/party. Whoever tried at ours parties they loved it.
We cooked in Instant Pot but don’t worry cook in as per your convenience like regular cooking pot or pressure cooker.
Just make sure if you use IP do not add water,
Because meat, onion and tomatoes release a lot water so do not need to add water for cooking.
But yes for regular stove off course add water as per required.
Original Mutton charsi Karhai cooks in Charbi (Fats) but we are making in cooking oil instead of charbi and add butter in the
end.
if you like, buy separate fats (charbi) from meat shop and use it instead of oil. or can be made in ghee too. It’s our viewers choice what they like most:) but try our same recipe method with oil & butter, it’s gonna be a big hit.
Servings 4-5
Ingredients:
Mutton 750 g
(Goat / Lamb Meat)
or use your own choice meat like veal.
Medium size Onions 4
roughly sliced
Tomatoes 4-5 (large)
(chopped)
Ginger garlic paste 2 tbs
Chopped small green chillies 8-12
Oil/ghee/charbi 3/4 cup
Salt 2 tsp/ to taste
Coarsely ground Black Pepper 1.5 tsp
All spices powder (gram masala powder) 1 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tbs
Butter 2 tbs
For garnish:
Julienne cut ginger
Chopped fresh coriander
Green chillies
Method:
Place washed meat, onion, tomatoes, green chillies, ginger garlic paste, oil or ghee, and salt in cooking pot. add water as per required, cover with lid and cook until meat gets tender. Do not put too much water.
For Instant Pot
Do the same procedure, just skip the water. Do not add water while cooking in IP.
Meat will cook in its water as meat, onion and tomatoes release water so much.
Set Instant pot pressure cook timer on 15-20 mins at high/more mode.
When time is up, leave for 10 mins as it is then release the pressure completely before open the lid.
If there is so much water in the pot, set ip ok sauté mode high level and dry the water.
When meat gets soft and water is dried in both method ip or normal stove.
Then do meat bhunai for few mins.
now add black pepper powder , garam masala, lemon juice, butter. mix them well.
garnish with julienne cut ginger, coriander and green chillies. Give it dum on v low heat for 3-4 mins.
Mazedar Mutton Charsi karhai is ready. Enjoy with Naan/roti and salad.
