Flight Lieutenant Tom, an F/A-18F pilot from Number 1 Squadron at RAAF Base Amberley was fuelled to the finish line by enduring support and sheer will power, as he tallied up 172kms during a grueling 24-hour running challenge. With the aim of running as many kilometres as possible to raise funds for UNICEF Australia’s Coronavirus Appeal, Flight Lieutenant Tom set off on the taxiway at RAAF Base Amberley, west of Brisbane at 3pm on Thursday 28 May. He successfully finished the challenge at 3pm on Friday 28 May, after a staggering 172 laps of the 1km track. V20201904
