Live Lab Tour with Simon Reiger and Keyhan Golyari @ the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics

Published 10 Jun 2020

Keyhan Golyari and Simon Reiger both work at the MPQ for the Attosecond Physics Division of Ferenc Krausz. The Attosecond Physics is about using incredible short laser pulses to observe the fastest movements in the universe, like those of electrons. Simon Reiger studied Physics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich from 2009-2017. Since then, he has been developing lasers here at the MPQ. Currently, he is working on the automation of ACCORD, a new laser system, to create those ultra-short impulses even more effectively. Keyhan Golyari is from Iran and studied Atomic and Molecular Physics at the University of Tehran. Since August 2017, he has been working in the Attosecond Physics Division at MPQ. Keyhans' research focusses on developing methods to measure the electric field of light. Precisely the field of electrons in band structures of solids.
