Welcome to Air Talk! On this episode we are going to talk about the topic "Do Airbags Leak?" Does Air Suspension Leak? Does Airbag Suspension Leak? So let's kick things off with the rubber components, the rubber material is very similar to a car tyre it is a porous material and in different weather conditions, it can fluctuate in pressure. So if the temperature is cold the pressure drops and if the temperature is hot the pressure increases. Pressure fluctuation isn't a bag thing, it doesn't mean that you have a faulty Airbag. Just a bit of general maintenance will keep your vehicle nice and level under all load conditions. As for our heavy-duty polyurethane parts, this material is not porous like our rubber parts, however, in different weather temperatures, the pressure can fluctuate just a bit. Now if you are losing quite a bit of pressure over a short period of time it could come down to a few factors such as airline poorly prepared, debris in your fittings or it's even damaged from routing it past sharp edges and heat sources such as your exhaust. We supply all our Air Suspension kits with pre-assembled airline, it comes with protector conduit around the full length of the tubing. As long as you cut your tubing nice and straight and insert into our push to connect fittings correctly it will create a nice protected air tight seal. If you install your airbag kit as per your installation instructions using the correct tools and a bit of common sense, you'll have a worry-free air suspension kit. Running your airbags below the recommended airbag height will leave your airbag at a bottomed out-state under load. Yes, they act as a replacement bump stop, however only temporarily. Continuous bottoming out will damage the internal seal layer, so maintaining the correct airbag height will ensure you have a long service life out of your airbag system With our blue coil helper bags, you need to keep a minimum pressure of 5 PSI to ensure that the airbag stays nice and moulded to the coil and doesn't pinch inside the coil when the coil compresses. Our Airbags are a one-piece fully sealed pressure tested design, with quality and heavy-duty materials used throughout. We've been running our Airbags for over 20 years now in all sorts of applications and prior to that our Father has been using them since his early 20's, so when you are looking for an Air Suspension System, make sure you look for quality and history over price. Now with that being said, select the right kit for your vehicle, operate and install your airbags correctly with a bit of general maintenance and common sense, you will get many years out of your Airbags. You can check out stacks of awesome reviews on our social media and Google platforms, ranging from recently installed kits all the way through to 20 years of use.
